Worship

First PresbyterianChristian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world. (Directory for Worship, W-1.1001)

The heartbeat of the Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church is the worship of God and the Christian education of all who join us.

Traditional worship service is celebrated Sundays at 10:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Please visit our Facebook Video Library for access to our services.

Our music is a blend of rich traditional hymns and newer hymns of praise, all of which are brought together and flow out of the sermon text for the day. We are assisted in worship by a choir, pianist, organist, and various other instruments on occasion, all of whom work together to help us “reveal God’s grace” with a joyful noise every time we gather on the Lord’s Day.

We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday morning of each month.
